Same-day load and unload is standard. We plan the route and the start time around summer traffic so your crew is not stuck on Route 27.
Hamptons to long distance
Outbound moves to Florida, the Carolinas and beyond for snowbirds and full-time relocations. Flat rate, dedicated truck, no shared loads.

In around Memorial Day, out around Labor Day. Book four to six weeks ahead for any in-season Friday or Sunday.
Single-piece deliveries
A sofa from the city apartment, a dining table from a showroom or an antique from storage, delivered and placed.
Learn more →Seasonal storage
Store furniture between seasons and have it delivered when the house opens again.
Learn more →Typical Drive Times from Manhattan
Timing matters more than distance out east. These are typical drive times for a loaded truck; your coordinator plans around the real calendar.
| Trip | Typical drive time |
|---|---|
| Manhattan to East Hampton, no traffic | 2.5–3 hours |
| Manhattan to East Hampton, summer Friday | 4–5 hours |
Estimates only. Our usual route is the LIE to Sunrise Highway to Route 27, and in season we avoid Friday afternoon eastbound runs unless the truck leaves before 7am.
What Makes a Hamptons Move Different
A few things many movers do not mention upfront:
Before move day
- Village rules: some villages and private associations limit commercial vehicle hours and access. We confirm the rules for your address before move day, not when the truck pulls up.
- Driveway access: a 26-foot truck cannot fit down every gravel drive. We check the destination during the estimate, and if a smaller shuttle truck is needed you know before you book.
- Certificates of insurance: most Hamptons homes are houses, but condos and co-ops in Westhampton, Sag Harbor and Southampton may require a COI. We arrange it with your building in advance.
- Permits: most villages do not need a moving permit, but parts of downtown Sag Harbor and Southampton Village do. We take care of them.
Flat Rates, No Day-of Surprises
Every Hamptons move is quoted as a flat rate in writing, based on your inventory, access at both ends and timing. Need building paperwork? See our COI page. Moving fine art or antiques between homes? Our white-glove crews pack and crate on site.

FAQ
Hamptons Moving FAQs
How far ahead should I book a summer move?+
Four to six weeks for any in-season Friday or Sunday. Midweek dates are easier to get on shorter notice.
Can you do the move in one day from Manhattan?+
Yes. Same-day load and unload is our standard for city-to-Hamptons moves, with start times planned around traffic.
What if the truck cannot reach the house?+
We check access during the estimate. If a shuttle is needed, it is in your quote before you book.
